# Set up your inbox

> Start with email, a few useful answers and clear reply rules.

**1. Get workspace access**

Your Bindo administrator provisions a workspace and access token. Use your own operator token; give external agents separate scoped tokens.

**2. Connect email**

Open **Channels**. Choose a dedicated receiving subdomain, add the DNS records shown, and verify both sending and receiving before activating the address. See [email setup](https://docs.bindo.ai/guides/email.md).

**3. Add business knowledge**

Open **Knowledge** and add your opening hours, common services, prices and policies. Publish entries you have checked. Set a review date on information that may expire.

**4. Set up the assistant**

Open **Assistant**. Set the name, tone, remit, signature and handoff instructions. Your administrator must configure a Bedrock model for live drafting. Enable drafting when the business information is ready.

**5. Review the first reply**

Open a customer, select an enquiry and draft from knowledge. Read the sources and any flags. Acknowledge flagged issues only after checking them, then approve the exact text to send.

Connecting a domain does not import your old mailbox. Customer history grows from messages received by Bindo and replies sent through it.
